How to Look Up and Reprint a Walmart Receipt

Walmart can retrieve a copy of your store receipt if you know the store, the purchase date and the card you paid with. There are three ways in: the online receipt lookup tool, the Walmart app's purchase history, and the store's service desk. Digital-first purchases (walmart.com and app orders) are even easier — the receipt lives in your order history.

Method 1: Walmart's online receipt lookup

Walmart's receipt lookup tool works for in-store purchases paid by debit or credit card. You will need:

1. The store location where you made the purchase.
2. The purchase date (the tool wants the exact date, so check your card statement first).
3. The card type and its last four digits.
4. The approximate total amount.

The tool returns a digital image of the receipt, including the TC number (Walmart's transaction code), which you can save or print. If the exact date is wrong the search fails — pull up the charge in your banking app to confirm it before you start.

Method 2: the Walmart app

If you checked out with Walmart Pay, or your account is linked to your payment card, receipts appear automatically under purchase history in the app. Walmart.com and pickup/delivery orders keep full itemized receipts under Your Orders indefinitely. Method 3: the service desk

Bring the payment card and the approximate date to any register or the customer service desk at the store where you bought the items. Associates can search transactions by card number, date and amount, and print a duplicate. Electronics departments can often do the same for warranty purposes.

What if you paid cash?

Cash purchases are the hard case: there is no card number to search on. Your options narrow to the service desk with the exact date, time and register if you know them (from a parking timestamp or bank withdrawal, for example). Card-based lookups generally reach back months, and electronics purchases can be located longer for warranty claims. The safe assumption: act within 90 days for routine purchases. A card statement proves the date, store and amount — enough for many warranty claims and reimbursements, though not itemized.
